Career Options After 12th

While there are stream specific options, there are a variety of options that can be done irrespective of your stream. These courses can be pursued after HSC, and entry is either via an entrance exam conducted by the institute or based on HSC marks. The Bachelor Of Management Studies (BMS)

This is a 3-year degree course offered by the Mumbai University. 50% in HSC is what is required to get admission in this course.
Across Maharashtra, this course a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) is offered by most institutes.

Interior Designing

Interior designing is the arrangement of living space i.e. organizing, managing and planning of the interiors of rooms.
One must have successfully completed HSC Exam with minimum 50% marks. Intermediate certificate exam cleared with a good grade would be an added
advantage.

Fashion Designing

Fashion design is the applied art dedicated to the design of clothing and lifestyle accessories which
generally mirror cultural and social influences. Fashion designers develop new styles and products for
clothing apparel and accessories by creating original designs or by adapting fashions to suit local conditions,
trends and buyers. For most of the courses in this field, one has to appear for an entrance test which
measure candidate's general mental ability and creativity and drawing skills.

thereby changing the look and enhancing variety and range of the jewellery.

Industrial Designing

Industrial designers develop and design countless manufactured products that we use in our daily life. They
combine artistic talent with research into product use, marketing, materials and production methods to
create the most functional and appealing design and to make the product competitive with others in the
workplace. There are specializations in the field of industrial design such as:
Product Design, Furniture Design, Ceramic Design, also Textile Design.

Animation and Graphics

Today animation and graphics have become a popular career choice. For those who have a flair for drawing and good three 3-D abilities.

architecture was considered a subjects that could be taken up only by science students as the basic requirement was physics,

Commercial Arts

Commercial art - is the application of the different types of art media for commercial purposes - such as creating advertisements, billboards,
book jackets, window displays, cinema slides, technical catalogues, packaging etc.

Photography

Photography is a profession that calls for a fusion of precise technical skills and a well developed artistic and aesthetic sense. It is not as simple as clicking the
camera, but involves various aspects such as understanding of light and colour, composition, technical know how and so forth.
Specializations in Photography include Commercial Photography, Photo Journalism, AD Photography, Industrial Photography, Medical Photography, environmental
Photography and Fashion Photography. Photography can be pursed.

The course is open to all those students who have passed their HSC and have secured not less than 50% in their first attempt. The selection is based on a student's
performance on the entrance test /group discussion / personal interview. A student could consider specializing either in journalism or advertising in the final year
of this course. This course is specific to Mumbai but across Maharashtra you can pursue an undergraduate course in mass communication or mass media.

Cabin Crew

The cabin crew in an airline consists of flight attendants, air stewards, pursers, flight supervisors and other in-flight crew.
Their job is to look after the safety and comfort of the passengers, keep the aeroplane neat and tidy, provide refreshments to the passengers,
and so forth. Other duties include greeting passengers, checking tickets, helping load luggage, ensure that seat belts have been.
Most courses are offered by private institutes which offer placements to those who successfully complete this course.

The field of defense consists of army, navy and air force for which one needs to go through National Defence Academy (NDA). In order to get admission to the NDA,
