About Scholarship:- MEXT (Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology, Government of Japan) offers scholarships to international students. Especially for those who wish to study in Japan at a specialized training college, a college of technology and a university (undergraduate level).
Categories of scholarships for Indian students:- Research Student,  Teacher Training Student,  Undergraduate Student,  Japanese Studies Student,  College of Technology Student,  Young Leaders Program Students,  Special Training College Student.
Eligibility:- Applicants must be Indian Citizens For Research Student / Masters Degree Bachelor Degree in the relevant field with minimum 65% marks. The candidates should obtain their mark sheet and degree on or before 31st March 2020 for April 2020 batch and 30th September 2020 for October 2020 batch. For Ph.D. Degree Masters degree in the relevant field with minimum 65% marks. Candidate having practical research/teaching/work experience after obtaining the prescribed qualification on or before 31st March 2020 for April 2020 batch and 30th September 2020 for October 2020 batch.
Scholarship Worth:- MEXT Scholarships for Indian Students, is 144,000 Yen per month (Approx. Rs. 89,440/month for the year 2020). Also, the Tuition fee for national universities and the Institute of National College of Technology is waived.

Aga Khan Foundation International Scholarship Programme

Brief description:-"The Aga Khan Foundation provides a limited number of scholarships each year for postgraduate studies to outstanding students from developing countries who have no other means of financing their studies. Scholarships are awarded on a 50% grant : 50% loan basis through a competitive application process once a year. The Foundation gives priority to requests for Master’s level courses but is willing to consider applications for PhD programmes. Applications for short-term courses are not considered.".

Eligibility-
Educational Qualification: For Master Degree: Students who hold the Graduation Degree in any discipline with minimum 55% or equivalent degree from a recognized institute/university. Preference will be given to experienced candidates, especially to those who are on lien with their existing post and employer.
For Ph.D : Master Degree minimum 55% marks or equivalent qualification. Preference will be given to those candidates who hold the experience, especially to those who are on lien with their existing post and employer.-
Age Limit:- Applicant age should not exceed to 35 years as on 01 April, 2020.
Income Criteria:-Total family income from all sources shall not exceed to Rs.6,00,000/- per annum..
Children Criteria:- Not more than two children of the same family/parents/ guardians..

Air Passage: Air passage from India to the nearest place to the educational institute and back to India. Shortest route will be followed and economy class air passages will be provided.

Duration of National Scholarship Award with Financial Assistance::-Candidates will get the prescribed financial assistance to complete their course/ research or the following period, whichever is earlier
PH.D :– 04 Years
Master Degree :– 03 Years.
Selection Procedure for National Overseas Scholarship 2020 Program::- 1.Applications received during the given period, will be considered for grant of National Overseas Scholarship award/assurance of award for that year and the award/assurance so given will be valid for a period of one year from the date of communication of the award/assurance.
2.Students who have already taken admission in foreign Institutions/University by an authorized body of that country from the academic year 2020-21 onwards and are pursuing for higher studies will be considered for the award on first come and first serve basis subject to fulfillment of other conditions of the Scheme.
3.Students who are trying to obtain the admission in the foreign universities/Institutions by an authorized body of that country may also be provided assurance of scholarship, to facilitate their admission, if required by accredited educational institutions/university. In case they are finally successful in securing such admission, they may be considered for the award, subject to other conditions of the Scheme. The assurance so given would be valid for a period of one year from the date of communication of the assurance. The award will be admissible from 2020-21 and no past claims will be entertained.
4.In case of tie (When the available unfilled slots are less than the eligible candidates)between two or more candidates the following selection procedure will be followed:- First, available unfilled slots earmarked for women candidates will be filled up from amongst eligible candidates. Next, the remaining slots will be filled up by the eligible candidate older in age, i.e., the first available slot will be given to the oldest candidate and subsequent slots in the descending order of age. The Selection cum Screening Committee will make suitable recommendations on the basis of above guidelines.
NOS Scholarship 2020 Application Form:-The online portal is going to open for 30 days initially calling for applications in April, 2020. In case, sufficient applications are not received or the number of the selected candidates is less than the earmarked slots, then online portal may be opened again on 1st July, 2020 for next 30 days. If required, the portal may again be opened for the same duration on 1st September, 2020* & 1st January, 2021 also.

SCOTLAND SALTIRE SCHOLARSHIP 2020-2021

 Duration of the Saltire Scholarship in Scotland :- 1 Year Master Degree.

INLAKS INTERNATIONAL SCHOLARSHP

Applicable Students:- This scholarship aims to provide opportunities to young people to study a full-time Masters, M.Phil or a Doctorate program at top-rated European, American, and UK institutions, only to selected students. .
Eligibility:- 1. The Inlaks Shivdasani Scholarships are open to all Indian citizens who have been continuously resident in India for the past six months, at the time of making the scholarship application.
2. Candidates are expected to hold a first class degree or equivalent from a recognized university/institution in India.
3. Candidates applying for scholarships in art and design (fine/performing arts) will be judged primarily on the basis of their portfolio.
4. Candidates who are Indian citizens and hold a good undergraduate degree from a recognized institution abroad, must have resided continuously or been employed or have been studying in India, for at least two years, post their return to India to be eligible to apply for the scholarship.
5. Candidates having a postgraduate qualification (e.g. Masters or PhD) from an institution abroad are not eligible to apply.
6. Candidates who have already begun their postgraduate education at an institution abroad are also not eligible to apply.
7. It is essential to have prior admission to the institution and course chosen at the time of the application. The Foundation will not consider candidates without admission or pending admission.
8. Candidates can be a maximum of 30 years of age in the year of application.
9. The scholarship applicants must be high achievers academically and otherwise and the Foundation will need proof of the same.
10. The applicants are judged on not only their present achievements but also on their future potential. The Foundation prides itself on judging potential as much as performance.
Awards:- The maximum funding given by the Foundation is USD 100,000. If the total funding required (tuition + living allowance) exceeds USD 100,000, candidates must show evidence that they have the ability to cover the additional requirement needed at the time of making the online application..
Terms of Scholarship :- 1. The scholarship covers full tuition fees, adequate living expenses and one-way travel allowance and health allowance.
2. The evidence of additional funding must be carried at the time of the preliminary interviews.
3. Acceptance of other awards, teaching assistantships and part-time jobs are welcome after approval from the Foundation.
4. The scholarship will not be awarded to candidates whose proposed course of study or specific project requires field trips back to India during their study tenure.
5. Scholarships are awarded in May for commencement in subsequent September or October.
6.Any scholarship not commenced within 9 months of being awarded will be forfeited.
Selection Of The Criteria:- 1. An independent Inlaks Selection Committee carries out the selection for the scholarship awardees. Applications received are analyzed and evaluated and the committee subsequently calls the most interesting and promising candidates for interviews.
2.All applicants must be available for interviews in India. The interviews usually take place in either Mumbai or Delhi in the months of May or in June.
3. The selection process is in two stages: A preliminary interview stage and if successful at the preliminary stage a Final interview round.
4. Candidates that are short-listed for the interviews will have to arrange for their own travel and accommodation.
5.Candidates who do not receive any communication from the Foundation by 15 May must assume that their applications have not been successful.
