The All India Pre-Veterinary Test is conducted by the Veterinary Council of India (VCI) every year. This council looks after the responsibilities and maintenance of the Indian Veterinary Practitioner's Register, regulation of minimum standards of Veterinary education and other related matters. The AIPVT enables eligible candidates to pursue the five year Bachelor in Veterinary Science (B.V.Sc) & Animal Husbandry (A.H) course. The AIPVT – 2016 is scheduled to be conducted on Saturday, 14th May, 2016.
Eligibility:
♦ Nationality – Indian
♦ Age – Seventeen (17) years as of December 2016.
♦ Age norms further differ for reserved categories.
♦ Education – 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology with minimum 50% marks.

Exam Pattern and Duration:
The AIPVT will consist of one paper with 180 multiple-choice questions of objective type. The distribution of questions from each subject would be as follows:

Note:
♦ Question paper shall be English & Hindi.
♦ For each correct answer a credit of 4 marks shall be awarded.
♦ For each wrong answer a deduction of 1 mark shall be given.
♦ No credit for unanswered questions.
♦ If more than one answer is marked per question, one mark would be deducted
Venue of the exam: Across test centers in India.
Application Fee: Students need to be the fee online via net banking, credit card or debit card.

Reserved – Rs. 750/-
Duration of the Course: The duration of B.V.Sc & A.H degree course is 5 years. The course also includes a compulsory rotating internship of six months.
