
Aspirants aiming to pursue their Masters studies in the field of Design must qualify the CEED – 2020 Exam to secure a prestigious seat at the various IITs and renowned institutes of the country. This entrance exam assesses the candidate’s acumen for design along with visual perception, drawing skills, creativity, logical reasoning and communication skills.
The Common Entrance Examination for Design (CEED) 2020 shall qualify admission to Master of Design (M.Des) Programmes at IISc Bangalore, IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, IIT Guwahati, IIT Hyderabad and IIT Kanpur and some other institutes who accept the CEED scores for the academic session 2020-2021. PhD Programmes in Design can also be aimed at using the CEED score. CEED 2019 is scheduled to be held on Saturday, 18th January 2020.
In CEED 2020, the following changes have been introduced:
1. Exam pattern has been changed. There is a change in the distribution of questions and marking scheme as well.
2. The total number of questions has been reduced from 45 to 41.
3. An incorrect answer in MSQ type, − 0.2 marks are deducted. Also, for a correct answer in these types of questions, earlier 02 marks was given, however, now you will get 03 marks.
4. New sections like sketching, creativity, form sensitivity, visual sensitivity, problem identification have been added to Part B.

Eligibility Criteria:
- Degree/Diploma programme of at least 4 years (after 10+2)
- GD Arts diploma programme (10+5).
Advantages: There is no age limit to appear for CEED. Candidates can appear for CEED any number of times. The CEED 2019 score is valid for a period of one year from the date of declaration of the results.
Exam Pattern for CEED 2019:
CEED 2018 will be conducted on Saturday, 18th January 2020 in two sessions. Both sessions are mandatory to attend. The language of the question paper will be English.
