Indian Statistical Institute Entrance Exam 2017

 

The Indian Statistical Institute (ISI) is the institute for research, teaching and application of social sciences, and statistics. ISI conducts an entrance test every year for selection of students for various graduate, post-graduate and fellowship programmes at four campuses - Chennai, Delhi, Tezpur, and Banglore. The ISI Entrance Exam is scheduled to be held on Sunday, 14th May, 2017.

Note: A stipend will be provided specific to the course undertaken.

 

 Eligibility Criteria:

♦ For Bachelor’s Degree - 10+2 with Mathematics and English
♦ For Master’s Degree - 3 or 4 years bachelor’s degree with Mathematics/Statistics/Economics/Physics/Chemistry/Electronic Science/Computer Science/Computer Applications/Information Technology/Engineering/Technology as a full term subject. (Candidates with strong analytics, abstract knowledge and/or PG Diploma are also preferred).
♦ For Diploma - Minimum 3 year-degree with mathematics as a full term subject. 
♦ For Junior Research Fellowship JRF - Master’s degree in any of the core subjects offered at ISI.

 

 Exam Pattern:

Multiple choice questions and/or short descriptive questions for all courses of graduate/post-graduate levels.

 

 Application Fees:

♦ Rs. 700/- for general category for all courses and all categories for JRF.
♦ Rs. 350/- for reserved category for all courses except JRF.

 

 Application Procedure:

Interested students must apply online.

 

 Selection Process:

Based on marks obtained on the written test, followed by an interview conducted by the institute.
