
Conducted by the CBSE board, the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) - Main is one of the most coveted national level entrance exams. Aspirants looking for seats in the NIT’s and top Engineering institutes in the country, must clear the Paper 1 so as to pursue B.E. or B.Tech courses. Students aspiring to pursue Architecture through B.Arch/B.Planning courses must appear in the paper - 2. The JEE Main 2017 is scheduled to be held in two sessions - the offline (paper-pencil) mode is scheduled to be conducted on 2nd April 2017, while the online mode of exam is scheduled to be conducted on 8th & 9th April, 2017.
Note: Candidates who clear the JEE Main exam and are within the top 2,20,000 (including all categories) ranks will only be selected to take the JEE Advance Exam - to secure admissions in the IIT’s and other premier institutes.
JEE Main 2017 Participating Institutes:
Joint Entrance Examination Main - All India Rank is accepted for admissions to various undergraduate engineering programmes at various Participating Institutes. Total number of Institutes is 67 (31 NITs, 18 IIITs and 18 GFTIs).
Eligibility Criteria:
Age Limit: Candidates should not be born before 1 October 1992. And the age limit for the SC/ST/PwD applicants is 1 October 1987.

Year of Appearance:
Only those applicants, who have passed their class 12th exam or any other equivalent examination in 2015 or 2016; or those applicants, who are appearing in their class 12th exam or any other equivalent examination in 2017, are eligible to appear in Joint Entrance Examination Main 2017.
