The National Institute of Fashion Technology is one of the premium institutions conducting professional degree courses in the field of Fashion Technology & Design. The Institute is a pioneer in envisioning and evolving fashion business education in the country through a network of fifteen professionally managed domestic centers at Bangalore, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Chennai, Gandhinagar, Hyderabad, Jodhpur, Kangra, Kannur, Kolkata, Mumbai, New Delhi, Patna, Raebareli and Shillong. NIFT offers under-graduate and post-graduate courses with various specializations. The NIFT entrance exam will be conducted by the NIFT in selected Major cities of India. Indian and Foreign candidates are welcome to apply. The NIFT Entrance Exam 2019 will be held on the 20th January, 2019.

Bachelor of Fashion Technology – 4 years
Eligibility: 10+2 (with Physics, Chemistry & Math) from a recognized Board of Education.
Master of Design – 2 years
Eligibility: Undergraduate Degree from any Institute/ University recognized by law in India or Diploma of minimum 3 years duration in UG Design from NIFT/NID.
Master of Fashion Management – 2 years
Eligibility: Undergraduate Degree from any Institute/ University recognized by law in India or Undergraduate Diploma of minimum 3 years duration from NIFT/NID.
Master of Fashion Technology – 2 years
Eligibility: B.F.Tech. from NIFT or B.E / B.Tech. from any Institute / University recognized by law in India.
Application Procedure:
Candidates must apply online on the NIFT official website. Fill in the required details, upload necessary documents and pay the fees online or by demand draft.
Application Fee:
General/OBC (Non-Creamy) Category: Rs.1500/- through payment gateway or Demand Draft.
SC/ ST/ PHP Category: Rs.750/- through payment gateway or Demand Draft
Exam Structure:
The NIFT exam shall consist of 2 tests -
Written Exam -
Creative Ability Test (CAT) and General Ability Test (GAT) for those applying to the bachelors and masters programme in Design
Only GAT for those applying to bachelors and masters programme in fashion technology.
Further Rounds -
On the basis of result of written test GAT and CAT, B.Des candidates will be called for second test called Situation Test.
For B.F.Tech., GAT will be the final test for selection.
On the basis of result of GAT and CAT, in case of M.Des and GAT in case of M.F Tech and MFM, candidates will be called for Group Discussion/Personal Interview.
