Joint Entrance Examination Main 2018

 

Conducted by the CBSE board, the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) - Main is one of the most coveted national level entrance exams. Aspirants looking for seats in the NIT’s and top Engineering institutes in the country, must clear the Paper 1 so as to pursue B.E. or B.Tech courses. Students aspiring to pursue Architecture through B.Arch/B.Planning courses must appear in the paper - 2. The JEE Main 2018 is scheduled to be held in two sessions - the offline (paper-pencil) mode is scheduled to be conducted on 8th April 2018, while the online mode of exam is scheduled to be conducted on 15th & 16th April, 2018.

 

Note: Candidates who clear the JEE Main exam and are within the top 2,20,000 (including all categories) ranks will only be selected to take the JEE Advance Exam - to secure admissions in the IIT’s and other premier institutes.

 

 JEE Main 2018 Participating Institutes:

Joint Entrance Examination Main - All India Rank is accepted for admissions to various undergraduate engineering programmes at various Participating Institutes. Total number of Institutes is 67 (31 NITs, 18 IIITs and 18 GFTIs).

 

 Eligibility Criteria:

Age Limit: Candidates should not be born before 1 October 1993. And the age limit for the SC/ST/PwD applicants is 1 October 1988.

 

 Educational Qualification:

2	B.Arch./B. Planning	12th Pass
		Mathematics subject along with min 75% marks (Aggregated) and 65% in case of applicant belonging to SC/ST category or be in top 20 percentile.

 

 Year of Appearance:

Only those applicants, who have passed their class 12th exam or any other equivalent examination in 2016 or 2017; or those applicants, who are appearing in their class 12th exam or any other equivalent examination in 2018, are eligible to appear in Joint Entrance Examination Main 2018.

 Mode of Payment:

Fee can be paid either by Net banking, Credit/Debit card or thru e-challan. In case of e-challan, the payment should be made in Syndicate/Canara/ICICI/HDFC Bank.

JEE Main paper-1 will be objective type.
